About PilotSuite

PilotSuite started because I got tired of reading software reviews that were obviously written by people who never used the product.

I'm Marcus Cole. I've spent the better part of a decade working in tech — building systems, evaluating tools, and helping service businesses figure out which software actually fits their operation versus which one just has the best marketing budget.

Before PilotSuite, I worked directly with small business owners — HVAC contractors, plumbers, cleaning companies, property managers — and watched them get burned by software that looked great in a demo and fell apart at month three. The same problems kept coming up: hidden costs, features that don't work like the sales page says, and "support" that's really just a chatbot linking to a knowledge base from 2019.

Why This Site Exists

Most software review sites are pay-to-play. Vendors pay for placement, and the "reviews" read like rewritten press releases. You've seen them — every product gets 4.5 stars and the biggest differentiator is who bought the top spot.

PilotSuite is different. We dig into real user feedback from Reddit, G2, Capterra, and industry forums. We compare actual pricing — not the "starting at" number that conveniently excludes the features you actually need. And when something sucks, we say so.
